Fogarty, Riley on Grand-Am Weekly

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Oct. 20, 2009) - Newly-crowned Daytona Prototype co-champion Jon Fogarty and six-time Daytona Prototype manufacturer's champion Bill Riley will be the special guests on tonight's Grand-Am Weekly radio show and webcast.
Grand-Am Weekly is heard Tuesday evenings from 7-8 p.m. ET on WELE-1380 AM Daytona Beach, featuring DC Williams, Wyatt Davis and J.J. O'Malley.

Fogarty and Alex Gurney won their second championship in 2009. Fogarty won poles in six of the last seven races - including the final five - and co-drove to a series-leading four victories. The drivers of the No. 99 GAINSCO/Bob Stallings Racing Pontiac Riley also won the Daytona Prototype title in 2007.
Wayne Taylor and Max Angelelli gave the Riley Daytona Prototype its first Rolex Series victory in its third start - in Phoenix 2004. Rileys have been on the podium at every main event since then, winning eight of 12 races in 2009, including its fifth straight Rolex 24 At Daytona. In addition to the Daytona Prototype, Riley Technologies also builds Mazdas for Rolex Series Acxiom GT competition and Camaros for the KONI Sports Car Challenge Grand Sport class. Riley also debuted its Track Day Car this year.
Riley Technologies was formed in 2001 by Bob and Bill Riley in Mooresville, N.C. Prior to that, the Rileys enjoyed success in the Trans-Am, built IndyCars and the Cadillac Le Mans Prototype. They also built the Riley & Scott Mk III World Sports Car that won the Rolex 24 At Daytona three times, for Taylor in 1996 and Dyson Racing in 1997 and 1999.
