Biography

Bunting, the 2006 Rolex Series GT co-champion and Bob Akin Award winner, will start the 2008 season running Rolex 24 At Daytona with Banner Racing and Leighton Reese and Robert Nearn.

Personal

Bunting has two children – Jesse and Calli. He is the co-founder and chief financial officer of Alpine Bagel Co. He is a board member of the Baltimore Police Athletic League, Civic Works and Outward Bound, and an advisory board member of the National Aquarium in Baltimore and Catholic Charities, Baltimore.

Competed in 11 of 13 Rolex Series GT class races with best finish of ninth three times.

2006
Earned GT class championship on the strength of five class victories alongside Andy Lally (Virginia, Lime Rock, Daytona, Barber, Miller) for TRG, also winning the Bob Akin Award as the best sportsman driver in the GT category.

2005
Had two victories and 11 top-10 finishes en route to the GT team championship for TRG. Had seven-straight top-four results to close out the season. Finished tied for second with teammate Andy Lally in the final GT driver point standings.

2004
Co-champion of the Rolex Series SGS class with co-driver Andy Lally. Earned two victories and 11 podium finishes from 12 starts. Car started from pole position four times.

2003
Made one Rolex Series start at Phoenix, finishing fourth in GT class.

2002
Finished 13th in the GTS class in lone Rolex Series start at Rolex 24 At Daytona. Finished sixth in the ALMS GTS class with one podium finish and seven top-five results in eight starts.

2001
Made seven starts in Rolex Series GT class, earning best finish of sixth at Phoenix. Made six starts in the Grand-Am Cup Series ST class, earning a best result of second at Phoenix.

Early Career
Earned one victory in Motorola Cup competition in 1999 and 2000.
